Starting with Deuteronomy (Proper A4)

The Word of God is precious. It is to be taught. It is to be kept. It comes with a curse set before those who ignore it, and a blessing before those who love it.

How abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone!

The Word is the Righteousness of God embodied in Jesus, a gospel that is the power of God unto the salvation of those who by faith embrace the Word. Who is it that will be saved? Who hasn't sinned? Who can boast?

The Word is the foundation. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven." It isn't hard, Jesus tells us what his will is. If we listen and obey his words, we are like a wise builder, building on a strong foundation.
